Outside of the fact that NO ONE will be seen in public with me while I'm wearing my red ladybug boots, they are one of my best buys in a long time. I have not had them split at the heel that some customers have complained of, and I'm fairly rough with my footwear, but I suppose that's where duct tape would come in handy! I also paid attention to the customers that said the boots ran a little large. My feet are a comfortable 8 1/2, so I ordered an 8, and they fit quite nicely. They slip on quickly when needed, generate the appropriate laughs, what more could one ask for? To be realistic, they are cute as a button, comfortable, dry, have great traction, and they feed my need for silliness.

I just received them yesterday so I'll just comment on fit and appearance. Based on reviews that said they ran a bit big I ordered size 9.5, I wear 9.5-10 depending on the manufacturer and I do think that 10 might have been a bit better. I'm not sure if they will stretch at all or not, but I'm wondering if they will be a bit cramped once I put on thick socks with them. I do like how they look, not nearly as bulky as my old Sorels (19 years old!) and the Oyster color is a nice neutral. Having somewhat larger sized feet than average I like to look for shoes that don't add more bulk and these fit the bill in that department. I will update my review later in the winter once I actually get some practical use out of them.

These are a great idea, but they were certainly not considering tall women when they made them. I have very long legs (34" inseam), so they are really about 2 or 3 inches to short for me. I like them, but I really wish they would make them in different lengths, since not all women are the same height! Of course, that's true for boots and pants also.

I have 2 pairs of these. I have very chunky calves, so normal knee socks often slide down, or otherwise don't work. I wear these and fold down the top to cuff them at the knee, and they work great. I normally wear them under pants, but I think they would look fine with a skirt too.

I bought these because I love to wear boots in the winter but hate to squeeze into tights to keep my legs warm. These do a great job of covering my legs up to my thighs, which is perfect.

The only issues I had were during the course of the day, the top of the liner would start rolling down my leg and I would have to stop & adjust every once in a while.

I got these to replace another pair purchased around 2000-2001. Those boots had served me well in a lot of hiking/snowshoing/camping/daily use, but this winter, each boot separated around the border between the uppers and the top of dark rubber lower section of the boot, leading to a Charlie-Chaplin like appearance.

The new boots are as advertised, and are just as comfortable on long walks and in deep snow as were the old ones. Traction is good on packed snow/ice (like winter roads and sidewalks).

This winter boot is one of the best available in my size, it's pretty hard to find any shoes or boots in my size. but i've been using this model for years my last pair lasted me about six years only using it for winter. it's very comfortable and very warm, but don't where this boot inside for long periods of time because it doesn't breathe at all, outside for long periods of time is great and has pretty good traction. THIS BOOT IS GREAT FOR THOSE LONG NEW ENGLAND WINTERS!

Boots arrived a day early. Beautiful, leather, winter boots. A bit of a tight fit, but not terrible. If you're used to work boots, it's similar to that--have to loosen the strings a lot to get the boots on and off, but very snug and comfortable fit when wearing them. Feel very good, not difficult to walk in, but stiff (very firm structure, like a work boot). Lace up very tightly. Great boot! Traction seems good, but the ultimate test will be after the first snow.

I usually wear size 8,5 and got these in two sizes - 8,5 and 9 just to compare. Size 8,5 fit fine but SOOO hard to put them on!!! You have to really untie to the end and it takes time... So size 9 feels very comfortable and even in white color they don't look too big on your feet.

Lush and warm. Good traction. Well made. Extremely comfortable.

I have thick calves and I get them on and off with no trouble at all. Just like any other boot, you have to undo the top two laces. It takes less time than my running shoes.

Once they are on your feet, they are like walking on a warm, fuzzy, cloud.

They are moccasin-style boots, by which I mean they have no arch support to speak of. If you have healthy feet and arches they are wonderful. If you need a lot of support, you should probably keep looking.

I love these boots. I didn't buy them with a notion of really wearing them as bad weather shoes, however this suede will be very easy to weatherproof. They have a nice grip on the bottom and I suspect they will be perfect for ice and light snow. They are perfect for just being cute and a bit more stylish than lets say, my Sorels. Girls you will understand this, guys need to know that girls need cute stuff in addition to Sorels (A.K.A as puddle splashing, jumping in snow boots.) The zipper feature is awesome because you can barely see it and they are a breeze to put on. My husband thinks the fur makes them too prissy. Um hello, that is the point. Oh, I also bought a half size up for sock room. I am not sure it was necessary but they are really comfy.

I just got my boots. I ordered a size 7 and they fit very true to size. If you want to wear them with a thick sock, you may want to size up half a size. I have fairly narrow feet and slender legs, and these zip up perfectly over my socks and skinny jeans. You can't really see it in the picture but they do zip up on the sides which makes putting them on and taking them off very easy. They are very cute and the fur featured is real fur and incredibly soft. I bought these to wear as apres ski boots and to walk around cities in the winter, and I think they will work well after I weather-proof the suede. My current pair of apres ski boots work well for playing in the snow (they are ugg-style) but I wanted something a little more feminine for going to dinner, and also something with a sturdier sole for walking on sidewalks. I think these will be much more supportive for walking in the city, but I would not wear these for playing in the snow because they are thinner than my current boots, which are lined with wool.

All in all, these boots are very cute, very comfortable, and fit well. They are not the warmest boots around, but will do very well as apres ski boots after I weatherproof the suede. The fur is real, soft, and very pretty.

These are some serious boots. Waterproof, sturdy leather, great traction, etc. The tongue is stitched to the rest of the boot so water can't seep in. The padded ankle is definitely a nice touch. I'm very pleased with the quality overall and would definitely buy another pair when these eventually wear out.

For sizing, I typically wear a size 12 for sneakers (size 11 for Chuck Taylors). I ended up buying size 11.5 and they fit comfortably with room for a pair of thick socks.

I grabbed those shoes at Marshalls for $50. I own a pair of Uggs, and after being 1 day in a wet snow they looked bad, I decided a cheaper version for a wet days. I saw a few Uggs-like boots, they were like &20-$30 and didn't look bad at all, but when I wore 1 Emu boot and 1 of the other brands that was a huge difference. The other shoes were stiff, and Emu is so warm and soft. So I grabbed Emu boots.

At home I compared to Uggs and I must say that I still love my Uggs way better-they seems lighter, easier to walk in and I like their look better (smaller and less bulky than Emu, also I don;t like Emu's raising sole). On the other hand Emu are warmer and very soft, like they would have a double wool inside. I found out with Emu you have to buy your size and Uggs are 1 size smaller (I wear Emu size 8 and Ugg size 7).

I just have read recently that those boots are really not meant for deep and/or melting snow, unless you don't care how they look. So I guess I'm gonna wear them only on a dry weather.

Overall great quality and very warm for cold days and nights.

I had been wanting a pair of Ugg boots for 2 years, but the price was just out of reach for me.

I saw these EMU boots on sale on Amazon, and they had chocolate, which is what I wanted, for a very affordable price.

I took the chance and ordered them...I couldn't be happier! They are exactly like the more expensive Ugg brand. and actually fot me better.

I wear a 9 1/2 narrow in shoes, so I orderd the 9. They fit comfortably, which really surprised me since my foot is narrow!! In Uggs, my foot moves around a bit which made it a bit difficult to walk, but these are a much better fit.

The sheepskin is so soft and the inside has thick shearling to nestle your foot into.

We've not had cold weather yet so I haven't worn them...but I'm sure they will be very warm.

I would definitely recommend EMU boots to anyone who is looking for a shearling/sheepskin boot.

I'll be ordering another pair in the Tall style.

I ordered 1/2 a size down (7 1/2) - I normally wear a size 8 if footwear is medium width as I have wide feet. The boots fit perfectly and are comfortable. I'd suggest before ordering these to measure your calf at the widest point over the type of pants/jeans you'll be wearing to make sure they'll fit corectly (which is what I did). The boots may be quite snug if you have larger calves. Had a bit of glue on the bottom of one boot but it came right off.

I bought 3 pairs - all different colors and different styles but all size 7. I returned one pair and it cost me over $10 to send them back (USPS) plus I was charged a $5 restocking fee! I'm keeping the other two and hope they stretch a little.

I got these demi boots last winter- I was tired of wearing 2-3 pair of socks along with regular slippers to keep my feet warm. It would seem that the cost for the demi boots is high to use them as slippers, however, I have gotten more than my money's worth out of them. They do a great job keeping my feet warm, and are relatively easy to get on- I do have to bend down to get my foot in, but it's not a big deal. I haven't been wearing them as much lately, as I purchased the Bearpaw Dream 10" lug sole boots for use outdoors- again, my feet are freezing all the time, regular boots weren't working anymore. So now I want another set w/o lug sole for my slippers, as I like how the 10" keep my legs warm, too! Highly recommended.

This is my 2nd or 3rd season enjoying the Merrell Chills, and I am very happy with them. I have a narrow foot and normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 shoe; I can't stand having a shoe too short for my foot, but often have a problem of shoes being too wide if they are long enough. That said, a size 8 in the Chills fits my foot like a cozy glove and is perfect for no socks (I love putting my bare feet in them) or regular socks; I go up a half size if I plan to wear thick socks or put Uggs wool shoe inserts in them. I try to buy new Chills each winter because I like having new ones, but the old ones are still fine. I have only worn the brown suede and the black suede so far and have never water proofed them, but they have not gotten water stains or leaked. I live where it rains a lot and sometimes snows and I often have to walk through some fairly deep puddles; if the water doesn't go over the top of the shoe, my feet don't get wet.

My boyfriend has always worn the cheapest and biggest athletic shoes he can find. He has a wide foot and doesn't like to feel confined or cramped. I've tried fruitlessly for years to convert him to good quality shoes that fit properly because he walks several miles a day to stay in shape. He hasn't liked any shoes I've gotten him until the Chills last year, now he has 3 pairs. Because of the wide foot, I think I had to go up a half or whole shoe size.

Everybody should have at least one pair of these if they live where it gets cold in the winter.

First of all, I want to say I am from Orange County, CA...and never wanted to buy this style of boots because of how foolish it looks for these girls to wear them in the middle of the summer, with a skirt rather than a pair of FLIPFLOPS!! That being said, I was moving to Oregon (and since have) and let me tell you...It rains here A LOT! These boots are SOO warm and comfy! They don't have much (ANY) arch support which if you walk around a lot in them, you will definately feel it tomorrow, and if you have muscular calves...they will be a little tighter...but hang in there, they'll stretch a bit! Also, unless you're wearing them with leggings or skinny jeans: wear them outside of the pants at your own risk...I got blisters! Bad ones! From the rubbing of the excess denim from my jeans!

I was reluctant to purchase these unless I found them on sale, but after trying them on and wearing them for a bit, I woulda payed full-price for these boots. They are the perfect "walk-your-kids-to-school" boots, especially now that fall is here. They are stylish, without being too fussy, and comfortable just like slippers, and warm while still letting your feet breath. My only concern is keeping them still looking new, as the knit material can attract dirt. I originally got them in a light pink, and later got them in grey. I find myself wearing the grey more often, as the neutral colour matches well.

I recommend ordering down if you're a half size (ie. 7.5 order a 7) or sticking with your regular size if you're a solid number (ie. 8 should order 8). The liner does flatten out a bit after wearing, and the knit does stretch a bit as well, but not enough to size down a complete size.

When I first purchased these boots, I wanted to return them right away. I ordered my correct size but they were floppy on my feet (even with socks on) and they felt clunky and awkward. It was not until my younger sister buttoned them correctly for me did I start to enjoy them. Now, I wear them every chance I get (except in the snow and rain). They are so warm and snuggly, easy to wear with any casual clothing ( I pretty much only wear jeans) and my feet don't feel mushy when I take them off because they breathe.

I highly recommend them for people on the go, who walk and travel a lot (they're great at airports as well!).

They do take getting used to, but once you break them in they're invaluable. I can't imagine my casual wardrobe without them.

Now, if I only knew how to clean them.... I have them in oatmeal.

This is my fifth pair of Bearpaws womens boots in this size and style. I always have problems with the stitching around the toes of the boots coming undone after about 4 months of daily wear. This years boots are much smaller around in the upper, I'd guess they have cut a full inch out of it. It won't go over my large calf, as it has alway done in the past. My 14 old daughter, who is svelt from a life of athletics, says that her uppers are too tight as well (she's wearing the womens size 12 boot in the same style). I love this boot, that's why I've purchased 5 pairs, but this year's boot seems to be a poorer quality.

I bought these in a store yesterday and wore these with socks, and now my white socks are totally black! I just took them off of my bare feet today and the bottoms of my feet are COMPLETELY BLACK!! I haven't tried washing it off yet or washing my socks, but hopefully this dye doesn't stain. I'm pretty upset about that. The inside of these boots are not as soft as Ugg boots but they are still warm. Personally, my feet sweat in both uggs and bearpaws. the quality of the outside is great though (so far).

They are definately great boots. I own a pair of Uggs and I do not think that those are any better than these. I would definatly recommend getting a size up on these though since they do run small. I ordered one size up and they still feel a little snug, but still very comfy and wearable. They are not hard to slip on over my heel like some boots that don't have a zipper on the side are. I have bought some boots that I couldn't get over my heel into because the opening for the foot was too small but these are just fine. My new favorite boots!

As a result of having three broken toes I can never again wear heels...I own Uggs Australia classic tall boots in Baked clay, grey, brown, sage, chestnut, sunflower yellow, black, terrecotta, pink, blue, lilac, sand etc...They are fabulous I love them!!!! Especially if you have problem feet...I prefer the classic talls as I like to fold the top of the boot over exposing the inside..The classics are very light weight with a light weight sole. They don't pull down from the weight of a heavier sole as the off brands often do...I wash them with water and a bit of soap, let them dry over night and they look great...Great with jeans....I size down for a super soft comfy snug fit but can still fit socks in them..They are perfect for the beach or the mountains or for everyday..I love them.

I bought 3 pair ( 1 for me and for my 13 and 10 year old daughters). We all love them! They are comfortable, cute (no matter what others say) and don't make your feet sweat. Trust me, this is a big deal after living with my teenager and her faux sheepskin slippers (Ugh!). The only problem is that they require regular care, particularly for my youngest. She has SOAKED them at least three times (we live in Michigan)and even waterproofing doen't keep them from VERY dark water stains. I researched on line and found that cleaning them with vinegar does the trick! Save yourself the money and don't buy the cleaner- vinegar is cheap and available! I pretty much clean them and re-waterproof them once a month. They still look great! They'd be ruined if not for the regular care. That makes these boots expensive AND high maintenance. They do run small-order a full size down. You'll be glad you did.

I have to say these are one of my favorite brands ever. in fact i now own 12 pairs of ugg boots they really are comfortable whether you wear them as slippers or for everyday. but i have to warn you because of the flat sole they are not that great for walking long distances unless you put in an insole. i have to say my favorite ones i own are the classic tall lavender the classic tall patchwork and the sunset in teal. definitely worth the money because they last long my oldest pair is over 5 years old and going strong.

Bought these boots as an alternative to the Uggs. They are very comfortable, warm and the soles are quite sturdy. They were a little itchy at first but feel great now, don't need to wear socks with them. I've worn Uggs before and these are very comparable. Sizing seems to run small. I just got my boots today, and i love them. Iv'e had 6 different kinds from Arizona brand to Kitsons. These are comparable to my Kitsons which i payed 300$ for. They are comfortable, warm, supportive, and they feel like a dream. I am a boot person all the way, and these are great, i love them. The only problems i noticed, they are very snug, a little hard to get into. I guess because they are high. I am a little overweight, if you like the fur showing they are fine, if not they are tight around the leg. You will not be tucking anything into these, unless you have very little calves. I suggest for people ( with lg legs)who dont like to fold them down, get a shorter pair. Other than that they are great.

I usually wear a size 6 1/2 or 7, so I ordered the size 7. It wasn't super small, but at the back of the ankle the boot curves in and was rubbing my ankle and my toe just barely touched the end. If I pushed my foot all the way to the back, it would fit my foot, but there was no way my foot would stay that far back in the boot and it would have given me a blister if I tried. Not near as comfortable as I had heard they were. But I do think a size 8 would have been great. I wanted to be able to roll the top of the boot down to show the fur, but when I did, it showed creases of white where the fur was attached to the boot in pieces. This was the main reason I returned this item. It is slightly tight around the calves, so if you have large calves you may want to get a shorter boot. All in all, I liked the boot, but with the defect in the fur and the size being a little small, I had to return it. So next time I will order a size 8 and get the 10" because the 12" was just too tall for the look I'm going for.

I have a big dog and need to hit the trails every, day rain or shine. These cleats proved very helpful in winter months. They have great grip on icy terrain, even steep and icy hiking trail. My only problem was that they were a little hard to pull on over my boots. Not as hard as the pro-version, but still hard. Because I had troubles pulling them over the lip of a boot, I lost one a few times on a trail and had to go back to find it. I may try a larger size next winter to see if it's easier to pull and if they still stay put.

I slip on the ice all the time. But with my new Yaktrax I can walk over the ice with confidence. I love my Yaktrax and won't walk on the ice without them. The downsides are that they must fit your boot tightly making them a little tough to put on. And they come off when I walk through snow that's more than an inch deep. But even with these downsides I'd never be without and would recommend them.

These are essential for winter running on ice. The only problem is that if you end up running on too much snow, it will bunch up beneath your feet and make them pretty useless. They definitely give you traction on ice though, so they are great for preventing injury.

A fellow dog walker recommended this product on one of the icier days this winter and it's been a godsend. With these on, I can walk on the ice more confidently than my puppy. They can slip off in snow drifts, though (though on one occasion, I lost one because I was inadvertently wearing my husband's larger pair). I highly recommend these. My favorite new gadget in years.

This is an excellent product for anyone who lives where it snows or it's icy. Last year I slipped on our ice in the driveway so I thought I'd give these a try. It's just like walking on dry land. Incredible!! They are easy to put on but definetly take them off in your garage or outside before you walk into your house because they will rip the crap out of your flooring!!

"LOVE these!" 2009-11-19

I know a lot of the reviews say to get a size smaller, but that wasn't the case for me. I first ordered a size 7, I usually wear an 8.5, and they were WAY too small--like a size 7 would be. I ended having to pay to send them back and by the time I reordered them they jumped $20.00 in price! So, in regards to sizing listen to the manufacturer "1/2 sizes should round down." I finally ended up with an 8 and they fit great! As far as "comfortableness" it actually took wearing them a couple times for them to feel good on my feet, but now they seem to be broken in and I love wearing them. They keep my feet warm and comfortable. I really couldn't see spending all that money on Uggs ($180.00 where I live) and to be honest I think EMU's look better (at least the Bronte Lo Boot I bought). The price (about $100.00+ less after the return and re-order process) and look sold me on these and I'll be looking to get another pair soon. Would definitely recommend and FYI if you wear an 8.5 wide shoe like me, size 8 is perfect.

I just got these today and hated to take them off to treat them with water repellent. They are so comfy and VERY warm. Like everyone else said, you should order a size down. All my other boots are 10's, but these are 9's and fit perfectly.

These boots fit about a half size down. I wear a 9.5 or 10 and a 9 fits me fine. I bought these for my mom after I've had the stinger hi boots for a few years. These were less expensive than the stingers, but not as soft and flexible. She hasn't worn the boots at all, but I'm guessing that they will soften up the more she wears them.

If you truly want an Australian sheepskin boot then go for the "stinger" version. The "bronte" is more of a suede with wool on the inside which is cheaper, just as functional, but if you wear them all the time like me, I would rather have the "stinger".

If you only wear them on occasion then go for the "bronte".
